Crowned thistle; M R flanking / Crown over saltire cross; rosettes flan; pellet in lower right field, extra F (or E?) on border below cross. Stevenson Group 3, class VIIa(i); cf. Burns 65-8 (fig. 856; for type; cf. SCBI 71 (Stweartby), 786-92 (same); SCBC 5433. Toned, creased, tiny perforation. Near VF. An unusual variety.
