POTTERY. Magna Graecia. 6th-4th Cent. BCE. (150 mm wide x 70 mm tall). A skyphos with flat foot, high walls and simple lip. Two handles present on either side of the cup. On the face of the cup, an owl stands on his right leg looking forward. Below, he stands on a Meandros like square pattern that repeats. To either side of the owl, simple plants. Some damage to glaze on one of the faces, otherwise only very minor loss to glaze. Tag on bottom, possibly from previous collection. Reassembled from fragments.
