POTTERY. Mycenaean. c. 1750-1050 BCE. (230 mm wide x 225 mm tall). A round vessel with short foot and spout and “stirrup style” handle with central post. Several concentric circles on the body itself interrupted by a central strip of half circles nested within each other and rows of 5 small triangles at the bottom of the band. The shoulder is decorated with small geometric patterns. Tag with piece from original seller. Some expert but minor repairs noted. An amazingly intact and stunning piece. |
