Laureate head right / DE BRITANN on architrave, triumphal arch, surmounted by an equestrian statue of Claudius left, between two trophies. RIC I 33; von Kaenel Type 27 (unlisted dies); Calicó 349a; SCBC 633; Elkins, Monuments Figure 75. A few minor marks and scratches, edge mark. Good Fine. This architectural reverse celebrates Claudius’ overthrow of Britain which commenced in AD 43.
