Diademed head of Artemis right, [bow and quiver over shoulder] / Kithara; to left, |||| (mark of value) above cornucopia. HN Italy 2556; SNG Morcom 491 (this coin). Brown surfaces, overstruck on a contemporary issue of Rhegion, with types jugate heads of the Dioskouroi / Apollo standing (HN Italy 2559). VF.

The overstrike on this coin is the subject of debate. Although Morcom describes the overstrike as it is described above, Rutter (HN Italy) describes the overstrike in the opposite, with HN Italy 2559 being the overtype. Upon close inspection, to this cataloger, it appears that the Dioskouroi / Apollo types are in the highest relief, which would suggest that Rutter is correct.
