Carausius. Romano-British Emperor, AD 286-293. Antoninianus (22.5mm, 5.81 g, 12h). ‘C’ mint. IMP CARAVSIVS P F AVG, radiate and draped bust right / EXPECTA T E VENI, Britannia standing right, holding standard and clasping hands with Carausius standing left, holding scepter; MSCC. RIC V 216/217 (obv./rev.). Rough dark brown patina with some green and red, obverse double struck, cleaning scratches. VF. Very rare.
