STONE. Kushan/Bactria. c. 2400-2100 BCE. (6.5 cm) A scalloped bread stamp with a small, pierced handle. On the face of the stamp itself, the protome of a horned animal and filler object below the head of the animal. All within a scalloped border of rectangular sections with a single hole drilled centrally in each. Minor losses present on the edges of the scalloped border. Tag on the back suggests parallel in BMAC 173. With a small case with glass lid. |
