Carausius. Romano-British Emperor, AD 286-293. Antoninianus (21.5mm, 3.48 g, 5h). ‘RSR’ mint. [...] CARAVSIVS P F AVG, radiate and draped bust right / EDES X EMC[...] (?), Fides seated left on throne, holding a signa in each hand; RSR. RIC V – but cf. 559 (for denarius with similar error in beginning of reverse legend). Glossy dark green patina, die wear, light roughness and cleaning scratches. Good Fine. Extremely rare and unpublished in the old RIC V.
