Carausius. Romano-British Emperor, AD 286-293. Antoninianus (20.5mm, 4.86 g, 6h). Legionary issue. ‘C’ mint. IMP CARAVSIVS P AVG, radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / LEG IIII FLAV, centaur walking left, raising hand and holding rudder; C. Cf. RIC V 272-3 (for similar issues). Glossy green patina, minor weakness, light cleaning scratches. Good VF. Extremely rare.
