Carausius. Romano-British Emperor, AD 286-293. Antoninianus (20mm, 2.31 g, 12h). Rotomagus (Rouen) mint. IMP C CARAVSIVS PIVS A [sic], radiate and draped bust right / SALV S AVG, Salus standing left, holding patera and cornucopia. RIC V –. Dark brown patina with verdigris and coppery surfaces, cleaning scratches. VF. Extremely rare and possibly unique with this unusual obverse legend with PIVS spelled out.
