POTTERY. Roman. 2nd -3rd Cent. CE. 135 mm tall x 80 mm wide). A flask in the shape of unguentaria with flattened base and bulbous body extending into a long, skinny neck. The lip is flared and extends out from the neck, to form a convexed opening. Some red slip applied over the vessel, a light application over all of the body, now worn away in spots and a thick application at the lip. Some deposits. Minor chipping, otherwise intact. |
