STONE. Kushan/Bactria. c. 2400-2100 BCE. (9.0 cm) A large star shaped bread stamp with a tall handle with loss above piercing. On the stamp face, two quadrupeds face each other on hind, both with forepaws raised. Surrounding, several small devices used as fillers. All bordered by a row of triangles with drilled holes in the center of each. Loss of several of these present. Tag noting reference to BMAC 164. With small case with glass lid. |
