JEWELRY. Kushan/Bactria. c. 2400-2100 BCE. (12.4 cm) The centerpiece of a necklace in copper. The image suggests the head of a person centrally with a wing extending from each side. On each wing, a dog sits squat head facing down, plant fronds in central joint area of the piece. The tips of both wings are pierced for suspension. Tag on case notes a parallel in “BMAC 194”.
