Carausius. Romano-British Emperor, AD 286-293. Antoninianus (24mm, 3.45 g, 7h). Uncertain mint. Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Providentia standing left, holding wand over globe set at feet to left and cornucopia; S|C//–. RIC V 498. Dark olive brown patina with some red, slight weakness. Good VF. A wonderful example.
