CARIA, Knidos. Circa 395-380 BC. AR Tetradrachm (23.5mm, 14.58 g, 11h). Timoteles, magistrate. Head of Aphrodite left, hair in ampyx and sphendone; K–N flanking neck; behind neck, prow left / Forepart of lion left; TIMOTE[ΛHΣ] below; all within incuse square. Hecatomnus 22 (A7/P22); HNO –; SNG Keckman –; Hunt IV 380 (same dies). Lightly toned, some horn silver, light roughness and granularity. Good VF. Rare.
