Diademed head of the deified Alexander right, with horn of Ammon / Athena Nikephoros seated left, transverse spear in background; grain ear to outer right, monogram to inner left. Seyrig, Parion 14 (dies X/N); Thompson –; Müller 362 var. (thyrsos not grain ear). Bent with resulting stress cracks indicating crystallized metal, die break and minor surface delamination on the reverse. VF. Very rare - only one other specimen noted in CoinArchives (CNG Esale 400, lot 15). |
