POTTERY. Magna Graecia. 6th-4th Cent. BCE. (130 mm wide x 90 mm tall). A painted Gnathian skyphos with opposing handles that stretch out on either side of the cup. The polychromatic design on the cup shows several registers of designs, U shapes, running patterns of waves, dots and finally a vine design that surrounds the face of the cup. On the back of the vessel, a double line is flanked top and bottom with dotted patterns. Minor chipping and loss of patina present. Chip missing from rim. Reassembled from fragments.
