POTTERY. Cypriot Pottery. 5th-4th Cent. BCE. (40 mm tall x 160 mm wide). A shallow simple dish with two short handles on either side is simply decorated. Below midpoint externally, a series of concentric circles form what almost seems to be ribbing. Internally, the bowl is washed in red slip and is adorned with several concentric circles centrally, then again to define the walls of the bowl both at the bottom and the lip. Some paint loss on the exterior. Minor chipping and trace deposits. Intact. |
