CLEMENS * XI * * P * M * AN * VII *, bust right, wearing Papal tiara and mantum / DEO · SACRA · RESVRGET · (trefoil stops), scaffolding attempting to raise an ancient Roman column. Lincoln 1632. Brown surfaces, ‘51’ in ink on obverse, a few edge bumps. EF.

During the reign of Clement XI, an ancient Roman column was discovered on Monte Citorio in Rome. The artifact was ultimately utilized in repairs of the Great Solar Obelisk.
