Low Countries. Circa late 15th Century AD. Leaf (3.86”x5.00”). Medieval Book of Hours. Illuminated leaf containing Psalm 94: 10-11 followed by the hymn Quem Terra, Pontus, Aethera – The God Whom Earth and Sea and Sky. Containing the first four out of five stanzas. From a prayer book worthy of someone of modest means for the time. Simple gold illumination with some blue and red ink. Bold ink. Slight browning and tiny tears at edge, small pinhole, old code penciled in at lower margin. Good VF.
