OIL LAMP. Holyland. Byzantine Period. 6th-9th Cent. CE. An ovoid oil lamp with large, flat bordered area on the top of the lid. In the middle, a small central hole. The lamp extends to one end tapering to form a nozzle with a single hole at the end. A small button handle rests atop the lid on the Ie side. Stress cracks present, otherwise intact.
