ATTICA, Athens. Circa 454-404 BC. AR Tetradrachm (23.5mm, 16.78 g, 9h). Contemporary imitation. Helmeted head of Athena right, with frontal eye / Owl standing right, head facing, closed tail feathers; olive spray and crescent to left; all within incuse square. For prototype: cf. Kroll 8; cf. HGC 4, 1597. Lightly toned, porous, scrape and slight die shift on reverse. Good VF. |
