England. Circa AD 1300. Leaf (3.82”x5.08”). Medieval Book of Hours. Illuminated leaf containing Psalms 123: 5b-8, 124 (all verses), and 125: 1-6b (in the Vulgate). From a prayer book worthy of someone of modest means for the time. Gold, silver, blue, green, and white illumination with some blue and red ink. Bold color remaining in ink. Slight browning and tiny tears at edge, old code and price penciled in at lower margin. Good VF. A nice cohesive section of Pslams.
