Carausius. Romano-British Emperor, AD 286-293. Antoninianus (20.5mm, 3.48 g, 7h). Rotomagus (Rouen) mint.. IMP C CARAVSIVS AVG, radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / V[IRTVS] IVI AVG, Virtus standing left, holding [Victory on globe] and spear and shield. Cf. RIC V 697 and 700 (for similar issues). Dark brown surfaces, edge split and flan crack. Good VF. An interesting coin with the drapery appearing similar to the trabea, though with a cuirass..
