EARLY SKYTHIANS. Anonymous. Late 2nd-mid 1st century BC. AR Tetradrachm (25.5mm, 9.67 g, 12h). Imitation of a Mint B ("Baktra") AR tetradrachm of Euthydemos I. Diademed head right, locks on forehead in arched crescents / Herakles seated left on rock, holding club set on knee; Sogdian inscription around. Cf. Senior A18.4T; cf. Kritt B15 (for prototype). Toned, light porosity, trace of hard green on reverse. VF. Very rare.
