France. Circa late 15th Century. Leaf (3.74”x5.00”). Medieval Book of Hours. Leaf containing a portion of the Litany of the Saints. Containing part of Apostles and Evangelists, continuing with Holy Innocents and Holy Martyrs, and ending with part of Holy Doctors. A nice example of the famous prayer worthy of someone of some means for the time. Gold, red, blue, and white illumination. Good ink quality and very readable. Minor browning and some tiny tears at edge. Old code penciled in at lower margin. Good VF.
