France, Paris. Circa AD 1410. Leaf (4.41”x6.12”). Medieval Book of Hours. Illuminated leaf containing Psalms 22: 4-6 and 24: 1-4a (in the Vulgate) A nice leaf with bold ink. From a prayer book worthy of someone of some means for the time. Blue, red, gold, and white illumination. Wonderful ink quality and very readable. Minor browning and tiny tears at edge, small smudge, minor wrinkle. Old code penciled in at lower margin. Good VF.
