Carausius. Romano-British Emperor, AD 286-293. Antoninianus (20.5mm, 4.02 g, 9h). ‘C’ mint. Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Virtus standing right, holding spear and resting hand on shield set on ground to right; CXXI. RIC V 437 var. (bust type). Dark brown patina and toned partial silvering, slightly off center. Near EF. Well struck and with attractive surfaces.
