OIL LAMP. Holyland. Islamic Dynasties. 7th-10th Cent. CE. A simple hooded round oil lamp with tapered lid with large hole at both the top of the lamp and midway down the lid. Handle extends from lip of top hole to the base. Ridges present along top for decoration. Small chip at side. Blackened around wick hole from use. |
