Maximinus I. AD 235-238. Æ Sestertius (27mm, 18.37 g, 12h). Rome mint. 3rd emission, late AD 236-237. Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Salus seated left, resting elbow on chair and feeding out of patera serpent coiled around and rising from altar to left. RIC IV 85; BMCRE 175-6; Banti 24. Dark brown patina, minor spots of bare metal showing. Good VF. Well struck. An excellent portrait.
