Carausius. Romano-British Emperor, AD 286-293. Antoninianus (20.5mm, 4.78 g, 9h). Uncertain mint. IMP CARAVSIVS AVG, radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / MAR S VICTOR, Mars standing right, head left, holding spear and resting hand on shield set on ground to right. Cf. RIC V 842 (for similar issue). Dark olive brown-red and green patina, minor roughness, area of porosity, some light scratches. Good VF. Possibly a new combination. None in CoinArchives.
