England. Circa AD 1300. Leaf (3.84”x5.16”). Medieval Book of Hours. Illuminated leaf containing Psalms, including: 21: 27b-32; 22 (all verses); and 23: 1-2a (all in the Vulgate). A nice leaf with bold ink. From a prayer book worthy of someone of some means for the time. Gold, blue, and white illumination. Good ink quality and quite readable. Minor browning and tiny tears at edge. Old code penciled in at lower margin. VF.
