Low Countries. Circa late 15th Century AD. Leaf (3.92”x4.92”). Medieval Book of Hours. Illuminated leaf containing Psalm 148: 1-11a (in the Vulgate). From a prayer book worthy of someone of some means for the time. Simple gold illumination with some blue and red ink. Good ink quality and quite readable. Tiny tears at edge, pinhole, minor wrinkling. Old code penciled in at lower margin. VF.
