Drusus and Germanicus seated left in curule chairs / KOINOY/AΣIAΣ in two lines within wreath. Hochard 1886 (D121/R265); Kurth 361; RPC I 2995. Green patina with earthen deposits, well centered, smoothing, cleaning scratches. Near VF.

This peculiar issue is often found restruck with two intricate “countermarks”' These “countermarks” were ring-shaped punches that surrounded the obverse and reverse designs and carried legends. While the obverse “countermark-legend” is the same as that which appeared on the original striking, the reverse legend has been replaced by a new “countermark-legend.”
