OIL LAMP. Holyland. Islamic Dynasties. 7th-10th Cent. CE. A simple molded oil lamp with two large holes; one central to lid, the second on the nozzle. A handle extends from the back of the lamp, with ridges present. Base has three concentric circles. Red slip still somewhat present, suggesting patterns on the lamp over the piece. Molded foot and designs on the underside show significant wear.
