THESSALY, Larissa. Circa 400-370 BC. AR Drachm (20mm, 6.02 g, 4h). Obverse die signed by Simo–. Head of the nymph Larissa facing slightly right; ΣIMO above / Horse grazing right. L-S Group 3, Head Type 8, dies 19/2; BCD Thessaly II 195; HGC 4, 430; Traité IV 713 and 718, pl. CCXCIX, 2, 3, and 6 (same dies). Lightly toned, a little die wear, a touch of porosity, a few minor marks. Near EF. Well centered on a broad flan. Exceptional for issue.
