Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Alexander the Great right with hanging hair, seen from the front, left arm of cuirass raised / Herakles standing right, holding lion’s skin and leaning on club set on rock to right; within domed tetrastyle shrine surmounted by a Triton left; on either side, agonistic crown with palm atop external columns. RPC VII.2 315.2 (this coin); AMNG 703. Brown patina, light roughness, scratches, minor deposits. VF. Extremely rare, only two known to RPC, including this coin. |
