Undated, but struck 1899 for the 1900 Exposition Universelle in Paris. Bust of Orpheus, holding cithara, facing slightly left, being crowned by laurel tree behind; artist’s signature to right / Winged genius, head right, seated left on blank tablet, leaning back and holding quill and clarion; viols below all set on laurel wreath. Edge: (cornucopia) BRONZE. Brown surfaces, a few darker spots, scratches and bumps. EF. In a modern case. |
