JUDAEA, Neapolis. Caracalla. 198-217 CE. BI Tetradrachm (28mm, 12.18 g, 12h). Struck 215-217 CE. Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Eagle standing facing, head left, with wings spread, holding wreath in beak, on garlanded altar; K to right. Prieur 1307 var. (bust type; Byblus in Phoenicia). Toned, porosity, flan flaw on bust. Good VF. Prieur knew of only four examples with this reverse type. Possibly unpublished with drapery and cuirass.
