Laureate head right / PROVI DENT I AE AVG, Commodus (as Hercules) standing left, right foot on prow, holding club on tree trunk and holding thunderbolt, clasping right hands with Africa, who wears elephant-skin headdress, standing right, holding sistrum and grain ear. RIC III 259a; MIR 18, 861-4/30; RSC 643. Toned, a couple of edge splits, typical of the issue. VF.
