Carausius. Romano-British Emperor, AD 286-293. Antoninianus (20.5mm, 3.07 g, 11h). Londinium (London) mint. IMP CARAVSIVS P F AVG, radiate and cuirassed bust right / PA X AVG, Pax standing left, holding olive branch and vertical scepter; B|E//[...]. RIC V 101. Dark brown patina with some earthen green highlights. Good VF. Overstruck on a Salus holding and feeding serpent held in arms type of Victorinus. Portions of undertype visible on both obverse and reverse.
