Carausius. Romano-British Emperor, AD 286-293. Antoninianus (22.5mm, 3.91 g, 8h). ‘C’ mint. Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Providentia standing left, wand over globe set at feet to left and cornucopia; S|C//C. RIC V 345. Dark brown patina with some red, faint cleaning scratches. Good VF. A wonderful and stern portrait.
