Constantine I. AD 307/310-337. Æ Follis (23.5mm, 4.06 g, 6h). Londinium (London) mint. Struck circa AD 312-313. CO NSTA NTINVS AG, laureate and cuirassed bust left, holding spear and shield / MARTI CON SERVATORI, Mars, helmeted and wearing military attire, standing right, holding reversed spear and resting hand on shield set on ground to right; *|–//PLN. RIC VI – but cf. p. 139 (for issue); RML – but cf. pp. 159-60 (forthcoming; same); C&T – but cf. p. 208 (same). Dark olive green patina, minor die wear. Near EF. Unpublished and unique. Unlisted as recently as this year’s edition of C&T as well as in the draft of the forthcoming RML.
