STONE. Kushan/Bactria. c. 2400-2100 BCE. (6.5 cm) A round bread stamp with scalloping and a small handle on the back with piercing for suspension. On the face of the seal itself, a plump quadruped facing right, its head facing forward. Devices around are used as fillers. All within a scalloped border of rectangular sections with a single hole drilled centrally in each. Loss of a section of the border scalloping at 3 o’clock. Tag on the back suggests parallel in BMAC 175. With a small case with glass lid.
