Carausius. Romano-British Emperor, AD 286-293. Antoninianus (23mm, 4.70 g, 6h). Londinium (London) mint. Radiate, helmeted, and cuirassed bust left, holding spear over shoulder and shield / Carausius on horseback riding left, trampling captive with hands bound behind his back below to left; ML. RIC V 11. Dark brown-green patina, roughness, cleaning scratches. Near VF. Very rare.
