Carausius. Romano-British Emperor, AD 286-293. Antoninianus (17mm, 2.73 g, 9h). ‘RSR’ mint. Radiate and cuirassed bust right / Britannia standing right, holding standard and clasping hands with Carausius standing left, holding scepter; RSR. RIC V 605. Green and brown patina with partial silvering beneath, roughness and cleaning scratches, somewhat irregular flan. Near VF. Very rare.
