STATUARY. Roman. 2nd -3rd Cent. CE. (110 mm tall x 95 mm wide). A fragment of a larger bust in terracotta showing the face of a woman in 3/4s view. She wears a hair piece (loss at top), her hair extending a bit to the side. Her features are well molded, wear present on high points particularly at the nose. A break is clear at the neck of the figure. Sandy deposits present over the majority of the piece. An attractive piece. |
