Draped bust right, wearing stephane / Herakles-Melqart standing left, nude, sacrificing from patera over lighted altar to left, holding club, lion’s skin draped over left arm; to left, two Ambrosial stones from which water flows; to right, murex shell. Rouvier 2399; RPC VI Online 8657. Green patina with red earthen highlights, slight porosity. Good Fine. Extremely rare, only two recorded in RPC. |
