Carausius. Romano-British Emperor, AD 286-293. Antoninianus (25mm, 4.52 g, 6h). Uncertain mint. Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Salus standing left, holding scepter and feeding serpent from patera which is coiled about and rising from altar at feet to left; S|C//–. RIC V 519 var. (bust type). Dark olive green-brown patina, slight obverse die wear. Good VF. Very rare.
