IONIA, Ephesus. Antoninus Pius. AD 138-161. Æ (35mm, 24.84 g, 6h). Laureate bust right, wearing aegis / Octastyle temple enclosing statue of Artemis Ephesia standing facing, wearing calathus, having supports; in pediment, door with two Nikai flanking. Karwiese, MvE 5, 216A (V28/R51A) = RPC IV.2 3086.4 (this coin). Brown patina with red patches, cleaning marks, smoothing, bare metal showing. Good Fine. Extremely rare, only five listed in RPC, only this coin with this pediment type.
